Billing & Payments
Plexicus offers flexible payment options: annual or monthly billing via Stripe, or enterprise purchasing through Azure Marketplace. This guide walks you through payment setup, invoices, plan changes, and credit packs.
Payment Methods
Supported Payment Methods
Plexicus accepts:
- Credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- ACH Bank Transfer — Direct bank payment (US-based)
- Purchase orders — Enterprise plans only
Add a Payment Method
- Navigate to Settings → Billing.
- Under Payment Methods, click Add Card or Add Bank Account.
- Enter your card or bank details securely (PCI-DSS compliant).
- Confirm and save.
Your payment method is encrypted and stored securely. Plexicus never sees your full card number—only a tokenized reference used for recurring charges.
Subscription Management
View Your Subscription
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Under Subscription, you'll see:
- Current plan tier (Starter, Scale, Enterprise)
- Billing cycle (next renewal date)
- Monthly or annual billing frequency
- Automatic renewal status
Change Your Billing Frequency (Monthly ↔ Annual)
- Click Manage Subscription in the Billing section.
- Select your preferred frequency:
- Monthly — Charged €299/mo (Starter) or €1,299/mo (Scale)
- Annual — Charged once yearly at a 10% discount
- Confirm and authorize the change.
- Your billing interval updates immediately; pricing is prorated.
Pause or Cancel Your Subscription
- In Settings → Billing, click Manage Subscription.
- Select Pause or Cancel:
- Pause — Freezes billing for up to 3 months; your data remains intact.
- Cancel — Ends your subscription effective at the next billing cycle; your account downgrades to Free.
- Confirm cancellation.
When you cancel, your account falls back to Free tier (no scanning possible). All historical findings remain archived and queryable, but new scans cannot start.
Invoices & Billing History
Download Invoices
- Navigate to Settings → Billing → Invoices.
- Select the date range to filter invoices.
- Click an invoice to download as PDF.
- Invoices include:
- Billing period
- Plan tier and price
- Any add-on charges (credit packs, etc.)
- Tax (if applicable)
- Payment method used
Automatic Invoice Email
Invoices are emailed to your organization's admin email address 24 hours after each charge. You can CC additional recipients by updating your email preferences in Settings → Organization.
Plan Changes & Upgrades
Upgrade Your Plan (Starter → Scale)
Upgrade instantly to unlock additional features:
- Navigate to Settings → Billing → Current Plan.
- Click Upgrade to Scale (or Enterprise if quoted).
- Review the new plan's features and pricing.
- Authorize the charge (cost is prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle).
- Your plan activates immediately.
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged the prorated difference. For example, if you upgrade 10 days into your 30-day cycle, you pay 20 days of the Scale premium. This difference is due immediately; future billing is on your standard renewal date.
Downgrade Your Plan (Scale → Starter)
Downgrades take effect on your next renewal date to avoid mid-cycle charges:
- Contact support@plexicus.ai with your request.
- Confirm which plan you're downgrading to.
- Downgrade is scheduled for your next billing cycle.
- You retain full Scale access until the switch takes effect.
When downgrading, features no longer in your new plan become unavailable. For example, downgrading from Scale to Starter removes container scanning and custom roles. In-progress scans using these features will fail.
AI Credits & Credit Packs
Understanding AI Credits
All AI-powered actions (AI remediation, false positive removal, report imports, etc.) consume AI credits from your monthly wallet:

Purchase Additional Credit Packs
If you exhaust your monthly quota before renewal:
- Navigate to Settings → Billing → AI Credits.
- Click Purchase Credit Pack.
- Select the number of credits:
- 1,000 credits — €99
- 5,000 credits — €399
- 10,000 credits — €749
- Review and authorize the charge.
- Credits are added immediately to your wallet.
One-time purchase: Credit packs are consumed once and do not renew monthly. Plan to purchase as needed or enable auto-top-up (see next section).
Enable Auto-Top-Up
Automatically replenish your AI credit wallet when usage hits a threshold:
- Go to Settings → Billing → AI Credits.
- Toggle Enable Auto-Top-Up.
- Set your top-up trigger (e.g., "top up when remaining < 500 credits").
- Select credit pack size and authorized spend cap.
- Save.
Once enabled, Plexicus automatically purchases a credit pack when your usage crosses the threshold. You receive an email confirmation and invoice for each auto-top-up.
Make sure your payment method is current and has sufficient available credit limit before enabling auto-top-up.
Microsoft Azure Marketplace
If your organization procures through Azure Marketplace, you can activate and manage your subscription directly in Azure:
Activate Your Azure Subscription
- In Azure Portal, navigate to Marketplace Subscriptions.
- Find Plexicus and click Get It Now.
- Review the pricing (billed via your Azure account).
- Click Subscribe.
- Return to Plexicus; your account is automatically provisioned.
Manage Your Azure Subscription
- Log in to Settings → Billing → Azure Marketplace.
- View your subscription status, next renewal date, and usage metrics.
- To upgrade, pause, or cancel, use Azure Portal directly (changes sync back to Plexicus within 24 hours).
Billing for Azure Marketplace subscriptions appears on your Azure invoice, not in Plexicus. Support for Azure-purchased subscriptions is available via your account manager or support@plexicus.ai.
Billing Issues & Refunds
Payment Declined
If your payment method fails:
- You'll receive an email notification within 24 hours.
- Your subscription enters a grace period (7 days).
- Log in and update your payment method in Settings → Billing.
- Plexicus automatically retries the charge within 24 hours.
If the retry fails, your subscription is suspended until you update your payment method.
Request a Refund
Refunds are processed according to our Terms of Service:
- Unused subscriptions — Full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- Partially used subscriptions — Refund prorated for unused days.
- Custom/Enterprise agreements — Subject to agreement terms.
To request a refund, email billing@plexicus.ai with:
- Your organization name
- Invoice number(s)
- Reason for refund
Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
Tax & Compliance
VAT/GST Handling
- EU organizations: VAT is applied based on your billing address.
- US/UK/other: Tax treatment depends on your jurisdiction and business type.
- Tax-exempt: Provide a valid tax exemption certificate to billing@plexicus.ai.
GDPR & Data Privacy
Your billing data is encrypted and compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and local data protection regulations. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Billing Troubleshooting
Why is my plan showing as "Free"?
Your subscription may have lapsed or been cancelled. To reactivate:
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Reactivate Subscription.
- Confirm your payment method and tier.
Why do I see charges for multiple plans?
If you recently changed plans or upgraded, you may see overlapping charges for the old and new plans. Email billing@plexicus.ai for a refund of duplicate charges.
How do I update my billing address?
- Navigate to Settings → Billing → Billing Address.
- Update your street address, city, zip code, and country.
- Save. Future invoices will reflect the new address.
